Flex Mat

Exped’s Flex Mat and the like have become the go-to choice of thru hikers, gram counters and alpinists all over the world. The closed cell IXPE foam is 1.8cm thick and comes in an egg box structure that supports and insulated whilst keeping weight down. The fold out design is easy use in the field and makes for rapid deployment when you get to camp. With an R-value of 1.5 it can be used by itself during warmer months in an ultralight sleep set up or as extra insulation and puncture protection under your winter mat for cold weather adventures. With no air pockets involved there is no need to worry about puncture or mat failures and its versatile multi use makes the Flex Mat a great bit of gear to add to your outdoor armoury!
