Description

Well done, you may have just found the goldilocks of hiking packs! No too big, no too small, not too heavy and not too delicate the Lowe Alpine Cholatse 52:57 might be just right for you. Building upon the on the success of its predecessor the Altus, Lowe Alpine have refined the fit of the pack whilst retaining the same great load carrying capacity and feature set. A more compressible foam in the shoulder and hip belts results in a softer, more comfortable feel that is more forgiving on bony hips or tired shoulders. Despite being squishier the hip belt retains its rigid, supportive structure allowing excellent weight transfer to the extensively padded lumber.

Three linear cinches on each side of the bag allow for excellent compressibility ensuring your load remains stable even when partially full. With the ability to lift and lower the top lid and extend/reduce the capacity of the pack from 52 to 57 litres, the Cholatse sits right in the sweet spot in terms of size meaning it would work perfectly for lightweight multiday trips, winter over nighters or tracks like the Three Capes when you want to make sure you have enough room for the wine!

Light at 1.85kg but not uber light, Lowe have achieved the perfect balance of durability v grams using a tough yet lightweight 210D Ripstop nylon throughout the main body of the pack and a bombproof 420D polyester in the base. The main fabric offers a high degree of abrasion-resistance thanks to its ripstop construction and features a HydroShield coating for added water-resistance if you happen to get caught out.

With a fully adjustable back length, a front access zip in to the main body and attachment points for all the outdoor toys you can think of this pack makes for a super versatile companion for any adventure you can think of.

Testimonials

"I spent close to 3 hours in this store today, being fitted for and choosing a pack, and the staff are fantastic. Helpful, knowledgeable, patient and friendly - and I think I'm probably a fussy customer and I have difficulty finding packs that fit comfortably. Has to be my best experience in this kind of store to date."
Amanda Warriner - 5★

"My favourite outdoor shop in Sydney. This is where you go if you want to see gear stocked because of it's quality, not just because it's corporate overload has pumped out another 10,000 puffer jackets that need to be moved before next season. Knowledgeable staff that actually partake in trekking and travelling themselves. Definitely worth dropping in!"
Tom Brickhill - 5★

"Always friendly, helpful staff with great knowledge. Great range of good quality products (nothing really low end) including Australian/NZ brands e.g. Wilderness Equipment, One Planet and Aarn. Never had a fuss with exchanging unused gear within the 2 week period."
