Every good adventurer should be prepared for gear breakage out in the wild. No matter how carefully-chosen and expensive your equipment, accidents happen and things break, and it's useful if you have the tools at hand to fix pretty much anything: patches, glue, needle & thread, bits of cord, cable ties and of course that old standby - duct tape.
