Description

On the spikey Kahtoola continuum, the new EXO SPIKES sit in between the Micro spikes with their big metal teeth and chains and the Nano Spikes with their minimal cleats for every day urban use. The Exo Spikes are designed for off road icy adventures whether trail running or hiking.

With two extra spikes than the Nanos and twice as long cleats at 1cm long they are capable of handling much more technical terrain. Kahtoola's ice traction system is lightweight, reliable and easy to use on any footwear. Tungsten carbide spikes are anchored within an aluminium base joined to a TPU cleat underfoot. The foot plate of the Nanos is replaced with individual spike cleats making for a more responsive feel under foot and a significant reduction in weight.

The re-design of the elastomer harness makes for a refined fit and easy oning and offing. Tested to sub-zero temperatures, the harness retains it stretchy qualities making for a durable, secure fit. A raised heel tab and reinforced toe loop lock the crampons on and prevent movement on you shoes in those tricky spots.

For a bit more bite than the Nanos but without the weight and aggressiveness of the Micro spikes look no further than the new EXO spikes to get you there on your next wintery adventure.
