Camelbak is the original hands-free hydration company, and they've gone from a fantastic beginning to—well, to where they are now: still at the leading edge of hydration. In 1988, Michael Eidson, an Emergency Medical Technician competing in the "Hotter'N Hell 100" road race, fills an IV bag with water, slips it into a white tube sock, stuffs it into his bike jersey, and clamps it with a clothespin. Voilà, the original Camelbak! And that—what Camelbak calls "obsessive innovation"—continues through to today: Not just the iconic and eponymous Camelbak hydration packs, but functional and brilliantly-designed water bottles and filter systems. Camelbak has a passion for sustainability and environmentalism which influences their products and design, and gives us even more reason to support them (as if we needed it.)
