Ultralight Insulating Mat

Not content with dominating the rest our camping nights with their sleeping bags, pillows and liners, Sea to Summit have put their heads together and designed the most comfortable range of sleeping mats ever! The secret is in the Air Sprung Cells - hundreds of tiny inflated bubbles that conform to your body's contours and act independently to mimic the effect of those pocket sprung mattresses demonstrated by that ad with the bowling ball and wine glass. The result is an unparalleled night's sleep.

The new range features Sea to Summit's Pillow Lock System to prevent your pillow sliding off your mat in the night, compatible with all new Sea to Summit pillows. Also, the stuff sack doubles as an Airstream Pumpsack to easily inflate the mat without introducing moisture from your breath. Yet another innovation is the multi-functional inflate/deflate valve which is easy to use and lightweight.

The Ultralight Insulated Mat is 5cm thick and the lightest mattress in the range, compressing down to 26cm x 10cm diameter - about the size of a Wide Mouth 1L Nalgene bottle! The insulation is a combination of Exkin Platinum to reflect radiant heat and Thermolite synthetic insulation to prevent loss of heat through convection. The combination gives the mat a respectable R-Value of 3.3. Repair Kit included.

"I spent close to 3 hours in this store today, being fitted for and choosing a pack, and the staff are fantastic. Helpful, knowledgeable, patient and friendly - and I think I'm probably a fussy customer and I have difficulty finding packs that fit comfortably. Has to be my best experience in this kind of store to date."

"My favourite outdoor shop in Sydney. This is where you go if you want to see gear stocked because of it's quality, not just because it's corporate overload has pumped out another 10,000 puffer jackets that need to be moved before next season. Knowledgeable staff that actually partake in trekking and travelling themselves. Definitely worth dropping in!"

"Always friendly, helpful staff with great knowledge. Great range of good quality products (nothing really low end) including Australian/NZ brands e.g. Wilderness Equipment, One Planet and Aarn. Never had a fuss with exchanging unused gear within the 2 week period."
