3. The Camino de Santiago

Overview

The following is our suggested gear list for anybody going on the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. The general climate is temperate and most travellers leave between March and April or September and October when the weather is at its most mild. However, it is still important to have a comfortably warm thermal sweater, hoodie or cardigan for evenings. Clothes chosen should be as lightweight and breathable as possible. As the Camino Trail is highly walking intensive, blister treatments and preventative items are invaluable.

While we take every care with our recommendations, please bear in mind that your gear and clothing should be chosen according to what fits you best. Items like boots and shoes in particular need to be chosen with great attention to personal comfort and fit. Only men's items have been listed below to avoid duplication. If equivalent women's items do not exist then alternatives have been listed. If you have any questions or need further detail, don't hesitate to contact us.
