Description

When Sea to Summit decided to branch out into sleeping bags they did so with an unparalleled passion and design expertise. The Alpine is one of their original models and still their ultimate high-mountain down bag, suitable for summitting 8000m peaks including Mt. Everest.

The contoured mummy is the most thermal and weight-efficient shape and has the most ergonomically-designed foot box which is a pleasure the relax into. The main zip is protected by carefully-placed anti-snag draught tubes, while a half-zip on the right hand side allows for the use of both arms and extra ventilation if needed. Offset baffles eliminate cold spots while the generous hood has a dual adjustment drawcord. The NanoShell fabric beads off condensation and the fill itself is 850+ Loft Ultra-Dry Down (responsibly-sourced, of course) to virtually eliminate the danger of wet feathers. The Alpine is designed for the most extreme environments and sized to allow for extra layers of clothing inside.

The Alpine II has an EN13537 temperature comfort range of -29°C to -40°C and comes with compression sack and storage cell. The regular bag is designed for users between 170 cm and 183 cm tall and the long bag is designed for users between 183 cm and 195 cm tall.

Amanda Warriner - 5★ "I spent close to 3 hours in this store today, being fitted for and choosing a pack, and the staff are fantastic. Helpful, knowledgeable, patient and friendly - and I think I'm probably a fussy customer and I have difficulty finding packs that fit comfortably. Has to be my best experience in this kind of store to date."

Tom Brickhill - 5★ "My favourite outdoor shop in Sydney. This is where you go if you want to see gear stocked because of it's quality, not just because it's corporate overload has pumped out another 10,000 puffer jackets that need to be moved before next season. Knowledgeable staff that actually partake in trekking and travelling themselves. Definitely worth dropping in!"

Adam Jude Baus - 5★ "Always friendly, helpful staff with great knowledge. Great range of good quality products (nothing really low end) including Australian/NZ brands e.g. Wilderness Equipment, One Planet and Aarn. Never had a fuss with exchanging unused gear within the 2 week period."
